De LUMIX GH6 is een spiegelreflexvrije camera met een 25,2‑MP Live MOS‑sensor zonder laagdoorlaatfilter, waardoor de effectieve pixeltelling en de dynamische bereik worden vergroot. De camera maakt gebruik van de Venus‑engine voor snelle beeldverwerking en ondersteunt 5‑as Dual I.S. 2 stabilisatie met tot 7,5 stops correctie. Video‑opnames kunnen worden gemaakt in 5,7K met 60 fps en 10‑bit 4:2:0, evenals 5,8K 30 fps anamorfisch en 4K 120 fps 10‑bit. Interne opname in Apple ProRes 422 HQ en 4:2:2 10‑bit C4K/4K 60 fps is onbeperkt mogelijk dankzij een verbeterde warmteafvoer. De camera biedt V‑Log/V‑Gamut met 12+ stops dynamisch bereik, uitbreidbaar tot 13+ stops met Dynamic Range Boost.
